Management of Chronic Diseases

Exercise intervention assists in managing many chronic diseases such as cancer, chronic fatigue syndrome, fibromyalgia, arthritis, osteoporosis and neuromuscular disorders like multiple sclerosis, spinal cord disabilities and Parkinson's disease. These diseases might not be curable at present, but exercise can help relieve symptoms of pain, stiffness and weakness. Emotional stress caused by suffering from chronic diseases may also be lessened due to physical activity and fitness.
